Colon Cancer – Preventable, Treatable, Beatable – Dayton Gastroenterology, LLC

Dayton Gastro offers open access for screening colonoscopies with most insurance covering the procedure starting at age 45.

Referrals are handled in an efficient and service-focused manner. We let your patient know the importance of your referral. We let you know when the patient schedules or if they fail to schedule. We also offer open access for new patients, no referral needed, and we will send you a summary of their visit.

Telehealth visits are available.

Hemorrhoid banding is available at all 4 of our office locations. Many of your patients suffer from chronic hemorrhoids. In the past, surgery was the only option. Hemorrhoid banding allows your patient to be treated quickly in our office and resume normal activity with very little discomfort.

Upper and lower endoscopic ultrasounds are available with or without FNA in our Beavercreek ASC. This has been a convenient way for patients to obtain this diagnostic procedure. The benefits of EUS include:

  • Obtaining tissue samples or biopsies to help in diagnosing enlarged lymph nodes or masses seen in other imaging studies.
  • Evaluating chronic pancreatitis, masses, or cysts of the pancreas.
  • Studying bile duct abnormalities including stones in the bile duct or gallbladder, or cancer of the bile ducts.
  • Studying certain submucosal lesions such as nodules or “bumps” that may be hiding in the intestinal wall covered by the normal-appearing lining of the intestinal tract. Staging (or determining the extent of) certain cancers.
